LAWA (Los Angeles Wildlife Allies) redefines urban conservation through a resilient, accessible rebrand for the nonprofit CLAW. Central to the system is a logo crafted from smoothed, minimalist mountain silhouettes—a nod to the resilient mountain lions that navigate the city’s fragmented habitats.

Designed for grassroots accessibility, the system employs rugged, open-source typography and modular graphics that volunteers can effortlessly scale across protest banners, educational booklets, and digital campaigns.

Rename and logo creation CLAW evolves into LAWA, with a logo inspired by the flowing silhouettes of LA’s mountains—honoring the resilience of urban wildlife.

One of the challenges was designing a flexible system that volunteers could easily adapt across diverse formats, from informational banners to digital campaigns. The solution was to use high-contrast typography combination and modular graphics so that the design is scalable.
